This is the second event in the new Ottawa GE3LS series called
“GPS: Where Genomics, Public Policy and Society Meet” launched in collaboration with our partners: Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Institute of Genetics, CIHR Ethics Office, Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, Council of Canadian Academies, Public Policy Forum, Policy Research Initiative of Canada, and Carleton University’s School of Public Policy and Administration.
The theme for the 2009-2010 GPS Series is Genetic Information. The first event on “Consent, Privacy & Research Biobanks” was held November 27, 2009. Recently, another GPS event on “Online Direct-to-Consumer Genetic Testing: Implications of this New Business Model” was held June 29, 2010 in Ottawa.
