In partnership with Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD), Genome Prairie has established four regional innovation networks in areas of strategic interest.
1) Canadian Flax Genomics Initiative (CFGI)
2) Canadian Brassica Genomics Network (CBGN)
3) Western Canadian Vaccine Network (WCVNet)
4) Societal Impact of Genomics Network (SIGNet)
These networks aim to strengthen collaborations among industrial, academic, and governmental stakeholders. Genome Prairie facilitates network activities with goals of recognizing and implementing genomics opportunities, enabling the exchange of information and fostering a more cohesive and effective genomics R&D community. Activities such as coordinating regular committee meetings, workshops, network community events, and providing regular progress reports to WD are overseen by Genome Prairie.
